Punchdrunk Enrichment, Hackney Learning Trust and The Petchey Academy worked in partnership to develop a new model in a secondary school context.

The new project was for year 7 and 8 English students and their teachers to experience an in an immersive, interactive mission-based project (based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest) that explored the use of digital technology to connect students with a virtual action adventure.

Through the immersive experience methodology, students’ learning targets increased engagement and improved standards in extended writing and speaking and listening at Key Stage 3 as well as wider enrichment and social learning.
